EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. Bringing together the resources of 27 member states, we develop and operate a range of satellite systems surveying the atmosphere, land and ocean that deliver vital data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our data contribute to weather forecasts that protect lives and property across Europe and to monitoring of our changing climate. EUMETSAT is now embarking on new and challenging satellite development programmes, shaping its long-term future.

At the heart of our Data Services Team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our operational web services software, functions and facilities. At all times, we will look to you to maximise availability, deliver innovative solutions, plan and participate in procurements and projects, whilst playing a central role in user documentation, configuration and quality control.

Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline, you will bring sound experience of developing and/or maintaining medium-scale systems in a fast-moving, mission-critical operational environment. Notably, you should be fully versed in web services, user interfaces and key technologies, familiar with overseeing contractors, knowledgeable regarding object-oriented programming languages, and skilled in using Unix, TCP/IP and relational databases. Finally, you should possess fluency in English and have a working knowledge of French.
