Web Security Tester

For our client in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Web Application Secrurity Tester to start ASAP for at least 6 months.

You must be prepared and able to travel internationally for 15% of your professional time to the office in Prague.

Your mission is to perform security source code reviews and security penetration test on web applications and to train internal staff on security testing of web applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
In your role as web application security tester in Amsterdam/Prague, your mission is to perform security source code reviews and security penetration test on web applications and to train internal staff on security testing of web applications.

You will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Define and maintain security testing methodology to perform static and dynamic security testing of web applications
- Evaluate web applications for appropriate and effective use of security controls using tools and techniques such as source code analysis, vulnerability scanners, and manual testing techniques.
- Train internal staff on web application security methodologies, best practices and tooling
- Support and advice countries solving detected vulnerabilities

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Within this project role, it is vital that you have experience with web application security testing.
We are looking for people with the following experience and skills:
- Relevant degree master/bachelor or similar qualifications by experience in IT/security, development
- At least 5 years experience in software engineering and development
- Substantial, professional, hands-on coding experience in Java/J2EE or C#/.NET. Experience with both a plus.
- Working knowledge of application technologies including web application architectures, databases, mobile development platforms, and a variety of programming and markup languages (such as C#, Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl, etc.)
- Experience using build tools (eg ant, make, maven, msbuild, nant, etc.)
- Hands-on experience throughout the SDLC, including requirements gathering and test planning, software architecture, secure coding, and QC testing.
- At least 2 years of experience evaluating the security of applications using both manual and automated techniques.
- Relevant tool experience should include code security scanners such as Fortify SCA, web vulnerability scanners such as HP WebInspect, assessment support tools such as BurpSuite, Metasploit, Core Impact, etcà
- Experience providing software architecture security guidance, including developing application threat models and methodically protecting against business logic and design flaws that could introduce security vulnerabilities.
- Training and presentation skills in English
- Fluent communication skills (oral and written) in English
- High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and reflect appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
