Web Ops - Web Operations - Digital - Server Build - Governement

Web Ops Web Operations required to support a digital service project for a Central Government organisation based in London.

This role is for a hands on web ops specialist working as part of the development team, with a focus on running the production systems and building software that is easy to operate, scale and secure. Candidates must have experience configuring web and application Servers and possess an understanding of Linux, previous experience supporting a large production platform, operational management of Linux Servers delivering a complex web application stack, building and configuring new server platforms and the automated tooling to do so and supporting development teams with configuring applications for deployment.

Skills required include:
Web application architectures, configuring Linux Servers for a dynamic website, basic programming skills, network protocols TCP/IP, HTTP etc and an understanding of application deployment strategies and continuous integration.

The role will be 6 months initially and will be based in Central London.
