Web ops - North west- 6 Months - 375

Web Ops required for a Public Sector Client based in the North West. Initial 6 month contract, daily rate 375

You will be Responsible for handing over the technical knowledge of releases to Ops management to enable successful live running. Build and configure new server platforms and the automated tooling to do so .Manage the operation of Linux Servers and delivery of complex web application stacks

Skills, knowledge experience

Proven track record of working with Cloud computing (EC2, Google App Engine, etc)

Networking concepts, technologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, and DNS and virtualization systems (VMWare, Xen, etc)

Proven track record of configuring and managing dynamic web and application Servers

An excellent understanding of Linux and experience in configuring and managing Linux Servers for serving a dynamic websites

Strong knowledge of understanding of common web application architectures

Track record of debugging complex multi-server services

Track record of Scripting or basic programming skills

Strong knowledge with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc.

A strong technical foundation in build, release and test environment
