Web Officer - Intranet Design

FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS

21 HOURS PER WEEK (BETWEEN 09:00 - 17:30, FLEXIBLE OVER 5 DAYS, OR 3 DAYS)

£9.80 PER HOUR PAYE TO £12.05 PER HOUR LTD

Southend Borough Councils Intranet is a vital tool for keeping staff and Councillors informed of what is going on in a large and multi-functional organisation.

We are looking for someone to join our team at an exciting time!

You will work within the small unit of web support, assisting with designing and building a new Intranet for Southend-on-Sea Borough Council,.

We are looking for someone with previous web design experience who has knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. You must also have experience of using CSS and be W3C standards compliant in HTML. Experience of image editing and streaming RSS feeds from a main website (news) is also key.

You will need to demonstrate previous experience of building sub sites, shared areas for collaborative working, restricted areas using permissions and workflows, structured lists, libraries and wiki pages and links to on-line forms, videos, social media, maps etc.

Knowledge of JavaScript and WAI-AA accessibility standards would also be an advantage.

Based at the Civic Centre, you will be sharing your knowledge and expertise with others with flexibility around your working pattern.
