Web Officer

Our client, a north east London Borough Council is looking for experienced Web Officers to join its team working to develop and implement the Council's Web Strategy.

The day to day function of the Web Officer is to assist with and improve the operation of the Council's websites, this will involve providing training, support and advice to all staff at every level. A key function of this role will be ensuring that managers who have responsibility for site content make it accessible, engaging and complaint with overall guidelines.

You must be able to evidence the ability to write customer focussed content, and although not required to have a deep understanding of coding you will have to understand the tenants of HTML and also CMS. Social Media experience is also essential especially Twitter.

The use of use analytics, customer feedback and User Testing is also essential.

Previous local authority experience is desirable as is experience of working within a large corporate organisation working with services/departments on their information strategies that deliver information/services to customers.
