Web Middleware Engineer - Banking

Web Middleware Infrastructure Engineer (Weblogic/JBoss/Apache) Salary: Competitive Banking Salary + Benefits + Bonus Location:London A Tier 1 Investment Bank is looking to hire a Senior Web Middleware Engineer to join their Web Hosting and Infrastructure team. The team oversee thousands of web processes across thousands of physical nodes for the bank on a global scale across multiple operating systems. The role entails troubleshooting and escalation of Web issues, consulting business projects, defining application architecture strategy and owning the life cycle management of associated technologies. The role requires this person to act as a Subject Matter Expert within Web Infrastructure so should have some good previous experience with web technologies in an enterprise or banking environment, particularly the Oracle suite (weblogic/enterprise etc). Ideal skill set / experience: * Good Mixture of Web Middleware Tech (not essential to have all but a good blend): Oracle Weblogic - Oracle Coherence - Oracle Enterprise - Apache Tomcat - JBoss * Linux (Red Hat) / Unix Systems Administration Skills * Good appreciation of Windows * Active Directory/LDAP Authentication. Other desirable skills include DMZ infrastructure, TCP/IP, SSL and PKI which is being used by the team increasingly throughout the year. Candidate will be a self starter, be task orientated with attention to detail, have strong people management skills and possess excellent communication skills as well as technical knowledge.
