Web Entry Server Engineer

WEB ENTRY SERVER ENGINEER

Our client, a major bank, is currently looking for an technically skilled Web Entry Server Engineer to manage E-commerce project requests for the Web Entry Server (WES) and Validator Proxy Infrastructure.

MAIN TASKS:

- Project consulting, identifying gaps, development needs (special engineering), package
- Configuration and deployments throughout all testing stages until productive environment, estimate efforts and costs
- OPERATE AND MAINTAIN (BREAK FIX, "LIGHTS ON", IMPROVE/MAINTAIN) THE WES AND VP INFRASTRUCTURE. HAVE A DEEP UNDERSTANDING IN WEB SECURITY, ENCRYPTION, AUTHENTICATION AND AUTHORIZATION MECHANISM
- life cycle management, maintain software and tools, capacity management, task automation
- Working with repositories, versioning control eg Subversion (SVN)

KEY DELIVERABLES

- Get firm with the organisation`s Web Entry Server concept and tools during the first 3 months
- Understand, maintain and improve the security concept of the Web Entry Server infrastructure
- Take over responsibility in consulting WES/VP projects in the planning and build process
- Conduct on call duty

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

- VERY STRONG UNIX/LINUX SKILLS (SOLARIS/RED HAT)
- VERY STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF APACHE, APACHE TOMCAT, APACHE STRUTS, SUBVERSION
- Strong knowledge of Web Application Firewall (OWASP/Mod_Security)
- Strong knowledge of Web-Services (XML/SOAP)
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Strong skills in Scripting languages: Bash, Python, JavaScript
- Strong skills in Java, JSP programming
- Good knowledge in networking, routing
- Reverse Proxy know how is a plus
- Strong sense of quality and responsibility and a thorough work style
- Fluent written and spoken English
