About the customer:

About the position:
For the launch of our new website in Q4 2015 we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced 'web editor-in-chief'.
The position is a newly created position and in line with the complete revamp of the current website and redefinition of Our client's web content strategy. The new website will come with a completely new UI architecture, modern design and reworked copy in order to guarantee a better visitor experience across the site.
Main tasks of the 'web editor-in-chief' during build up:
*contribute to the set up of the new site (go live date November 2015)
*agree on rules, processes and policies for governance of the new site in cooperation with important stakeholders across the company
*build an editorial board

Additional tasks as of launch date:
*coordinate content production and publishing in coordination with the various stakeholders and in line with the Our client content strategy
*assure the development of the site is in line with the new content strategy
*work with content owners in order to assure content is dynamic, relevant and accurate
*assure continuous reporting (based on Google Analytics) on the performance of the site and use the information out of reports for future recommendations

Skills/Profile/Expertise:
*a university diploma in communication, journalism, e-communication , marketing or e-marketing
*professional experience of at least 5 years, with a majority in a web/web publisher/editor role
*experience in the definition and execution of web content strategy
*experience in web usability and ergonomics
*knowledge of one or several CMS mandatory, knowledge of Drupal is an asset
*knowledge of HTML
*excellent editorial/ web copywriting skills in English (level needs to be native or close to native)
*good knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics, able to make reports and interpret them
*experience in managing complex projects, with numerous stakeholders within a matrix environment

Personality/Values:
*a love for the web and digital communication tools in general (web, email marketing, social media, video, other)
*charismatic and self-confident, showing a good combination of drive and facilitation skills
*quick learner, showing a proven track record of taking on new skills at a fast pace and capable of self-learning

Contractual agreement:
This is a full time position starting latest October 2015, preferably the candidate would be available earlier (summer 2015).
We offer a contractor/interim position with the possibility to convert this arrangement into an employee contract with undetermined duration after 6 months. The person preferably is resident in the UK but agrees on frequent travel to Belgium (2 to 3 days a week).
