The Web Development Team Leader provides line management and day to day support to a team of 4 Software Developers. They will assist the Head of Software Development in building and developing team member's skills and experience, they will also act as a first point of escalation for arising system issues.

Key Responsibilities

Provides line management support to a nominated team of Software Developers.
Assists the Head of Software Development in the implementation and monitoring of task management processes and systems.
Provides task direction to their team of software developers, as required.
Acts as a key point of escalation and response for arising system issues.

Assists the Head of Software Development in resource forecasting and scheduling activities, as required.
Line management duties to include:

o Ensuring company policies, procedures and processes are adhered to through effective monitoring.
o Communicating effectively with the team through team meetings.
o Delivering the company cascade briefings, obtaining feedback from staff and proactively deal with this.
o Development of all team members to maximise performance through 121's, objective setting, quality assessments, coaching and performance reviews.

Productivity
Completing development projects in line with agreed timelines.

Quality
Ensuring that software output is reliable, scalable and highly usable.

Accuracy
Ensuring that software change exactly meets client requirement (both internal and external)

Logical approach
Ensuring that the approach to problem solving is logical, and results in expedient resolution.

Team Management
Supports, motivates team members, and assists the Head of Software Development in ensuring that the efforts of team members are focussed on a common goal.

Communication
Assists the Head of Software Development in communicating business activity and strategy to team members.
