Web Development Application Engineer

Our high-visibility client's manufacturing group needs a contract Software Engineer to create a new application that enables the capability to request, collect, manage and reporting on failure analysis done by GPAC. The end product will be used daily by widespread client teams. Candidate will be involved in web application development project (UI, business logic, and DB), updated versions and follow up support.

OVERVIEW

- Application development as directed by project lead
- Primarily coding, design, and data modelling
- Meetings with customers and management on progress, requirements, etc.
- Track individual progress using team tools

REQUIREMENTS

- ASP.NET,
- C#
- .NET 4.0
- SQL Server 2005
- JavaScript
- WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
- Wealth of experience in requirements gathering
- Experience in design prototyping
- Strong English speaking and writing ability

NICE TO HAVE

- HTML 5
- Visual design skills - ability to create easy to use/attractive applications

Estimated length of assignment: 6 - 18 months
Estimated hours per week: 40 hours, M- F, 8 - 5pm
% of travel required: none
Telecommuting: Yes, but with client's previous approval
Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years
