Web Developer/User Interface Designer - HTML, CSS - Federal Government

One of Canberra's most established Federal Government Departments is looking to appoint an experienced WEB DEVELOPER/UI DESIGNER to join their dedicated and talented IT department for an initial 12 month contract with the view to be extended.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (BUT WON\'T BE LIMITED TO) THE FOLLOWING:

- Support, analyse, design and useability of multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously;
- Use CSS or HTML to produce a working prototype of the Visio designed applications;
- Build functional user interfaces that simplify and enhance the user experience;
- Ability to create interaction models and process-flows for new Applications;
- Assist with the conduct of usability testing

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA;

- 2+ years of experience in user centred design work;
- 2+ years in relevant development tools and methodologies. Preference for candidates with excellent skills in HTML/CSS;
- Strong knowledge and experience in the field of usability;
- An excellent sense of visual-design combined with a desire to learn from (and extend) current design trends;
- Experience in working on multiple projects at any one time
