Our client is seeking a Web Developer to provide great customer service on behalf of the Computer Services Department in Sheffield.

In this pivotal role, the Web Developer will be the technical lead in developing and implementing web related projects, you will also manage the system administration and development of Intranet web services. Proactive with your approach you will assist with the development of software including updates in consultation with relevant departments and system users.

Other duties will include assisting in ensuring users have appropriate access rights to computer systems in accordance with established policies, and that records are kept of system operating procedures to agreed standards and quality assurance levels. Additionally you will also coordinate the operation of Computer Services Helpdesk, recording support and change management requests in accordance with department targets and procedures.

The successful candidate will have experience of developing, administering and supporting commercial web sites using the LAMP stack, HTML5, CDD3, Javascript and Bootstrap. A relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent would be an advantage, you will have the skills in software programming and graphics design. You will also have the ability to analyse, prioritise and resolve complex technical issues, along with good communication and interpersonal skills. Essentially you will be creative, imaginative and have a flare for design.
