Web Developer II Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a WEB DEVELOPER II to join our client in Hillsboro, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Web Developer will develop a robust software distribution platform.
- Web Developer will be building web interfaces that will be user experience driven and a pleasure to use.
- Provide software/web application design and development to meet the team's design objectives for web applications, interfaces, and interactive visualizations using the most recent web technologies.
- Collaborate and participate in regular team meetings with humanities scholars, designers, and librarians to determine user requirements and technical specifications for software/web application projects.
- Share, test and debug, document and maintain the code using collaborative revision control systems (ie Git).
- Deliver assigned work packages according to work schedule & iterate in a development and user-testing cycle.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- MUST HAVE A BS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, COMPUTER ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT.
- Three plus (3) plus years of experience of PHP, MySQL and object-oriented programming.
- Develop interfaces and interactive reports and visualizations using the most recent web technologies, such as REST, HTML5, Java/JavaScript, JSP, and Python.
- Conceive and develop Back End parts and databases (Tomcat, Amazon RDS/MySQL).
- Easily manage and manipulate different data formats (CSV, JSON, XML).
- Experience as demonstrated by a portfolio of work and minimum of two (2) years of related experience.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience with Ruby on Rails and LAMP stack development.
- Proven experience working with server-level Web administration.
- Experience with analytical, problem solving, debugging, and optimization estimation skills.
