WEB DEVELOPER - FRONT END - USER INTERFACE - HTML5 - CSS3 - JAVASCRIPT

RESPONSIBILITIES

This person filling this position will play an important role in the Software Development Group, which provides planning, design, implementation and management software for use with the company's clients. The specific focus for this role is the design and development of state of art Tools which will enable field engineers to deliver higher value service offerings to customers. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn modern software technologies and practices in an English speaking group that has grown steadily over the last few years.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience of core web technologies (such as HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax, DOM, CSS3)
-

Experience with a Front End MV* framework (such as Angular) and other JavaScript libraries (jQuery)
-

Experience with bower, npm, ES6 a plus.

Strong understanding of the cascading part of CSS (including the box model, structuring CSS with SMACSS and testing)
-

Usability experience and an eye for design and layout.
-

Experience in Web Services technologies (preferably REST)
-

Familiar with Java/JEE client and server technologies (preferably Spring based)
-

Familiar with Web and Application Servers like Apache, HTTP, Tomcat

Detailed knowledge of the software life cycle

Problem solving skills
-

Good understanding of Object Oriented Design patterns, functional design patterns and enterprise patterns

Experience with cross-browser support

Strong coding, profiling and testing skills

Comfortable with configuration management tools, preferably Git, JIRA and TeamCity.

Ability to write concise and coherent functional and technical designs - Exposure to requirements analysis

REQUIRED PROFILE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and several years experience.
