WEB Developer - Finance - Melbourne CBD

As a Web Developer you will be a member within a new team responsible for the development, build, and deployment aspects of web applications. This team will use AGILE methodology, converting specifications into robust enterprise-grade applications/solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with business analysts in developing and prototyping solutions for customers' needs
- Accurately estimate work effort for projects
- Code from either tech specs or work requests using HTML/CSS/Javascript/REST/Java/Web related technologies
- Peer review developers outputs
- Complete deployment preparation tasks such as change records, installation, backout and verification plans
- Apply a given SDLC process to all deliverables

REQUIREMENTS

- familiarity with Front End build tools such as node/gulp/requires
- solid understanding of JavaScript
- experience with JavaScript testing frameworks like jstd, karma, mocha, jasmine,
- experience using knockout MVVM library and/or other Front End frameworks such as angular/backbone/react/aurelia ..
- experience with cross-browser delivery and testing essential
- experience with internationalisation/regionalisation of web applications
- mobile optimisation/responsive design
- experience with sass/less/other CSS frameworks
- in depth understanding of web application security
- experience working with REST APIs
- experience working in an agile environment
- Back End experience in Jersey/Spring Boot/Dropwizard/Java, is preferred.
