Web Developer - Data Visualisation - London - Contract

WEB DEVELOPER - DATA VISUALISATION - LONDON - CONTRACT

Looking for an experience developer with extensive experience in Data Visualisation and building bespoke data monitoring tools.

The successful candidate will have worked in the online-media, broadcasting or digital agency domains. You will have experience in more than one language associated with data monitoring and visualisation such as Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, Java etc..

Experience and enthusiasm in Agile is a must - you will be working in a strong Agile environment using BDD (experience with TDD or BDD is a must)

You will ideally be familiar with a number of monitoring  tools such as Zenoss, Nagios, Zabbix, Graphite, Splunk, Logstash, Lumberjack, Flume, statsd

KEY SKILLS:

- At least two modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, Perl etc
- Data Visualisation
- Building data monitoring tools
- Competence in one or more modern web frameworks
- Shell Scripting
- APIs and service integration - HTTP, REST, JSON/XML, SOAP
- Hands on experience with a range of operating systems - RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris
- TDD/BDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, version control
- Ability to work in a fast changing environment with rapid release cycles
