Web Developer- 6 Months Fixed-Term

In this role you will propose, design, develop and implement technical solutions to ensure efficient delivery of content and tools for users of the Co-operative Banking Group websites. You will work on channel-initiated small change activity as well as providing technical input to large scale projects, focussing on delivering engaging customer experiences as well as improving site maintenance capability.

You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of developments in the digital world, highlighting to management new opportunities to improve the websites and their functionality, structure and underlying architecture.

To do this successfully you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or extensive on- the-job experience gained in a similar highly technical role.
- Exposure to the full project life cycle, enabling you to assist in driving out requirements, designing, developing, testing and implementing solutions in conjunction with the business and IT
- Sound knowledge of a range of web and mobile technologies including HTML 5.0, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS 3.0, ASP and Java, ideally with a good understanding of the Client Server relationship and experience of implementing websites on a Windows-based server platform.
- Experience of developing responsive websites using the Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite Content Management System is highly desirable.
- Experience of the technical implementation of tag-based web analytics solutions, to support business decision-making.
- Understanding of SEO principles and techniques.
- Effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence colleagues at a more senior level.
- Ability to coach and mentor less technical colleagues, in order to develop their technical knowledge and understanding.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
