Web Developer

Seeking a talented and dedicated junior developer who will support business requirements and code related changes on public facing websites, troubleshoot production defects, and serve as a source of technical expertise in developing dynamic, responsive digital applications for our varied users. Qualified candidates will have practical, hands-on skills with relevant technical platforms and languages and a can-do attitude toward developing solutions. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a collaborative environment with Producers, Designers, and other Developers.

JOB DUTIES:

- Become in-house expert on Drupal content management system.
- Provide ongoing website defect remediation and code updates.
- Front End development.
- CMS Template alterations to fit business needs.
- Working regularly with our digital agency of record to coordinate efforts.
- Maintaining reports on work progress for the digital project manager.
- Train staff on CMS functionality.
- Act as a back up for content maintenance.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1-3 years of relevant and increasingly responsive experience working on websites and website projects (personal projects will be considered).
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML.
- Intermediate knowledge of CSS.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL/PHP.
- Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.
- Intermediate knowledge of Drupal, especially template alteration and functionality.
- Intermediate Unit Testing.
- Understanding of a variety of technology infrastructures.
- Experience resolving cross-platform, multi-browser issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of design principles and Photoshop.
- SEO knowledge.
- Solid Quality Assurance abilities, for both their own work and the work of others.
