WEB DEVELOPER SEATTLE, WA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

We are seeking a talented Web Developer with strong customer service skills that is proficient in a number of coding languages (.NET, Drupal and SharePoint). You can work remotely but must be available for travel. This is a full time position, starting as soon as possible. Web Project Management experience is a plus.

You will be responsible for developing, releasing and maintaining web applications for both Internet use and Intranet use, as well as contributing to all aspects of the product development and release cycle. Ideally, you will have a passion for the Web and higher education, with strong customer service skills and project management skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIEScontributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Understands each clients organizational goals and objectives.
- Develops lasting relationships with client personnel.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging web technologies.
- Mentors team members possessing less web experience; transfers knowledge of technologies.
- Updates job knowledge by researching new Internet/Intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Turns design and user interface mockups into functional websites powered by the client.
- Builds user interface applications and Back End databases using various programming and Scripting languages.
- In a hands-on fashion, ensures all technology solutions are properly architected and specified.
- Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server Scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information Servers.
- Creates technical methodologies for engineering solutions to Web-based development problems.
- Makes suggestions on creating web-based technical standards for specific Web sites and the organization as a whole.
- Demonstrated ability to work on problems of complex scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.

BACKGROUND WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years with SharePoint
- 2+ years with Drupal
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- 4+ years of experience with Architecting web applications, including using ASP.NET with C# and the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0, 3.5, and 4.0 and integrating data from multiple sources and types, including MS SQL Server 2008
- Ability to work on complex problems; provides state-of-the art, highly creative solutions
- Expertise in CSS 3, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Json, XML/XSL, ASP/.Net, C#, VB and T-SQL
- Experience with LINQ, SharePoint Development and OOP development
- Excellent knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Knowledge of WordPress, Omni update and other CMS a plus
