Web Developer

Our client's premium membership program is experiencing explosive growth and as a result, is seeking talented, passionate Web Developers to create advertising, messaging, and signup experiences for all of channels (retail, e-readers, tablets, phones, gaming consoles, etc.). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of turning elaborate designs into lightweight and responsive pages. Mastering client-side Scripting techniques and implementing elegant and efficient designs using smart, clean web development patterns is required. UX Design experience with content management systems or content publishing systems is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating web experiences for PC, tablets, and phones using responsive design as well as native experiences on mobile OS leveraging web views.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience developing with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML Web Services, Perl/CGI, MySQL, Oracle and Linux/Unix
- Portfolio or samples of online materials
- 3+ years' experience designing and developing Internet applications

- Works well in teams and respects and welcomes ideas from partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts
- Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment
- Passion for optimizing pages, images, scripts, and web services for scale and performance
- Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
- Demonstrated visual design expertise; capacity for creating fun, highly usable designs and layouts, and a bias towards simplification
- Strong UX design skills, as well as demonstrating the ability to map out and simply user workflows
