Web Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Works with IT programmers when needed to develop work on the Client's website.
- Supports new technology such as Point Roll.
- Works independently on web projects when the task is design intensive and not copy intensive.
- Creates concept and communicates ideas for numerous designs
- Produces clean, technically accurate files
- Produces effective design
- Performs timely and accurate archival of Client's assets (also assigning attributes)
- Understands and applies the basics of creative and business strategy
- Works with Creative Director, Copywriter and Producer to produce designs that are both compelling and cost-effective
- Creates final art for presentations and assists in Creative Presentations
- Creates final art and files to be given to Developer
- Manages numerous projects simultaneously
- Completes work correctly and efficiently to meet appropriate deadlines
- Effectively communicates design specifications to Developer
- Shares knowledge and experience across business lines
- Acts as a proactive leader on the team, line of business and beyond, and helps influence decisions
- Makes Creative presentations when applicable
- Works with vendors (stock photo house, photographer, etc) when necessary
- Understands overall budget constraints of projects
- Optimizes graphics for web publishing

SKILLS

Portfolio needed to apply! Must have 3-4 years of professional experience in Web Design with an impressive client portfolio. Must be proficient in Mac-based Photoshop, ImageReady/Fireworks, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Thorough understanding of the elements of good design, HTML production and web process required. Must be able to complete tasks both independently and as part of a team. Must possess effective communication and presentation skills and have the ability to manage deadlines and production scheduling on numerous, concurrent projects. Ability to perform effectively in a demanding work environment and show resiliency to stress is needed. Technical Skills required: HTML, Fireworks, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
