Job Title: Web Content Specialist

Type: Contract- 6 months

Location: Atlanta, GA 30346

Our client is seeking a Web Content Specialist for a 6 month contract in the Atlanta Perimeter area to manage multi-language content (images, copy, video, etc.) for client's customer-facing brand site. The Content Specialist must collaborate with User Experience, Channel Integration and other partner teams to create and maintain content that is user-centered, brand right and globally consistent. This specialist needs a very strong understanding of brand identities and the ability to identify when content is on or off brand. The Web Content Specialist should understand and inform project needs; propose new content and determine impact on existing content; use global CMS/Back End systems; manage master web content inventories; write contextually appropriate content as needed, negotiate content revisions, and facilitate translations. The Content Specialist reports to the Web Content Strategy Manager or another Content Strategist.

WEB CONTENT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Be the key point person for partner teams as it relates to the most updated content on the sites.
- Work with project sponsors, managing editors and related UX disciplines to understand content needs and project scope
- Create and maintain content matrices containing asset-level detail, including metadata values that govern content behavior (placement within site structure, geographic distribution, translations)
- Manage process for updating content Matrix through multiple stakeholders
- Engage in iterative content processes, negotiating input and revisions from multiple subject matter experts; liaise with regional stakeholders for verification/validation, if necessary.
- Ensure content compliance with editorial guidelines and perform quality assurance checks on published content
- Publish, verify, and troubleshoot master English and translated content in various test environments
- Responsible for helping to educate and evangelize the importance or need for a master content inventory/Matrix
- Participate in informing suggested process workflow changes to ensure the most efficient methodology for content maintenance
- Describe quality assurance methodology; explain desired outcomes of testing, such as reliability and consistency; identify the steps in the project life cycle.

Requirements:

- At least 5 years' experience writing and editing for Web environments
- Ability to set and meet tight editorial deadlines, and to address evolving priorities
- Proven history of self-direction, creativity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Must possess exceptional writing skills.
- Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company; describes basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily work.
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic project planning processes, including planning action items and resources.
- Authorized to Work in the U.S.
