The Company
Our client a Government Agency requires the services of a Sydney based Web Coder for a period of 31 months from 01 Dec12 to 30 Jun15 in order to maintain, develop, refine and customise the software system.

The Role
The contractor shall complete tasks including but not limited to the following:

LEAD THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TECHNOLOGY BASED PROJECTS:

- Undertake complex system analysis, design, development and implementation leveraging technologies such as: Flash, ActionScript, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, TSQL, Stored Procedures, HTML, CSS, SCORM, SOAP, Flex, C++, VBScript, Director, Lingo, MySQL, ISS, SQL Server, LDAP, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Design, create, implement, and manage software architecture.
- Provide professional development advice to team members.
- Provide strategic guidance and advice in relation to digital technology.
- Identify and communicate potential risks and issues.
- Ensure source code is sufficiently and accurately documented.
- Ensure adequate source control measures are in place including version control and archiving.
- Ensure source code is well formed and inline with industry standards.
- Ensure software is sufficiently and accurately documented.
- Ensure quality assurance and testing is conducted appropriately.
- Assist in management throughout the software development life cycle.
- Provide advice regarding the inclusion of third party products.
- Provide workable solutions within budgetary and resource restraints.
- Training Delivery Platform (TDP) design, development, and maintenance:
- Analyse stakeholder ALPC requirements including Instructional Designers', users, programmers and multimedia technicians.
- Continue development of TBT platform to ensure suitability for deployment across a number of platforms.
- Ensure the solution is scaleable and re-usable where possible and/or feasible.
- Ensure the solution is capable of leveraging existing ALPC resources.
- Consider and advise with regard to future implications of use of current or proposed processes and technologies.

TECHNOLOGY BASED TRAINING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE:

- Facilitate the development of a training product based on instructional design material and resources.
- Facilitate development of projects leveraging existing ALPC platforms and resources such as the TDP.
- Provide programming, development, and production support for TBT projects.
- Provide advice with regard to functionality, usability, and feasibility.

DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN WEBSITES AND WEB APPLICATIONS SUCH AS THE GOVT AGENCY PRODUCT LIBRARY:

- Assist in the maintenance, support, and administration of the production versions.
- Assist in the analysis, design, and development of new features to enhance the systems as required.
- Create high-end interactive activities and content as required.
- In conjunction with SO2 KPC(S), manage and coordinate the programming activities within KPC(S).
- Organise technical resources and project teams as required.
- Develop tools and utilities to support development, testing, and operation of ALPC's products.

PERFORM RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN REGARD TO:

- Flash Platform
- Web development
- Mobile device development
- Different delivery environments and platforms
- Technology based enhancements to design, development, and production workflows and practices
- Revise, repair, and maintain extant technology based training products.
- Engage in liaison and assistance as appropriate with regard to the administration, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure supporting Givt agencies Intranet websites.
