SALARY: £22,829 PER ANNUM
CONTRACT TYPE: FIXED TERM UNTIL MARCH 2014
HOURS: FULL TIME

The Web and Intranet Service is responsible for Parliament's online communications and engagement using: the parliamentary Intranet, Parliament's website and other digital channels such as YouTube and Twitter. The team aims to ensure that Parliament is able to use the web to support its work effectively, provide accessible online information and engage with the public. The Web and Intranet Service works closely with teams in Parliament, as well as external suppliers, to produce a wide range of web content.

The successful candidate will have excellent written skills to assist with a wide range of Web Master (website) and Intranet email inbox inquiries and Content Management System queries with excellent oral communications skills and customer service skills to deal with internal and external customers over the telephone.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and interest in, the development and use of the web; willing to develop web skills and embrace and adapt quickly to technical change.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team, often under pressure, and to cooperate effectively with staff across departments in the House of Commons, the House of Lords and PICT.

Experience of using a Content Management System (CMS) and applying the Web & Intranet standards would be desirable.
