Web Architect (Websphere, Weblogic, SOA) - Contract - Belgium

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

My Belgian client seeks an experienced Web Architect with experience of creating the architecture for large E-commerce websites.

TASKS:

- Diagnose accurately and in depth the existing architectural designs proposed regarding operational readiness of the proposed solution.
- During the conception and design phases of the new services, report regularly to the management about the strong points and weakness identified for the proposed design so that the management can provide a GO for development without taking unnecessary risks.
- Collaborate with the project team as owner of some operational tasks requested by the projects.
- Along the design and transition life cycle, validate the operational readiness of the future service to make sure that the expected quality of service will be reached once the service launched in production.
- Consult with the management to provide the next steps in the design and delivery of the service.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- (As many of the following as possible)
- IBM WebSphere and Portal server, WebLogic server, Apache, oracle database, content management systems, SOA, ESB, virtualized environments
- Familiarity with ITIL, Prince II etc would be a real bonus.

RATE:

- Negotiable daily
