Web Application Software Engineer

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a WEB APPLICATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our client in Norristown, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Web Application Software Engineer will create solutions to often radical user experience problems (make technology easy to use).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and eliminate inefficient middle-layer and Front End information systems.
- Create positive user experiences by focusing on people, process, and human behavior.
- Work independently within a small group.
- Bring what you've learned from past mistakes to the table, earn the respect of your new co-workers, and lead design professionals by example. Improve yourself in the process.
- Actively engage other creative minds within user interface engineering.
- Mentor designers, researchers, and developers with fresh perspectives of user experience.
- Live by design principle of "putting people first". Practice user-centered development.
- Design and develop Middleware, web services/API integration.
- Help with models, prototypes, mock-ups, models, and wireframes.
- Understand human/computer interaction like an anthropologist and psychologist.
- Invent and develop strategies based on research, then sell those ideas to team members.
- Challenge tradition, practice unconventional thought, and innovate design and process.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- THREE (3) PLUS YEARS UI/UX DESIGN OF INTUITIVE WEB AND INTERNET APPLICATIONS.
- Experience working on a variety of client accounts with inspiring, interesting people.
- Thought leader. Confidence in your information architecture and usability skills.
- Worked with large, complex business information technology systems that need simplification.
- Requirements include the ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced, exciting, growth-oriented environment.
- Able to interface with all levels of organizations, including software development, quality assurance, IT support, business groups, process modelling, data visualization, graphic and industrial design working towards a common goal.
- Previous creative graphic or industrial design experience as Web or Middleware Developer .
- You often find yourself lost in thoughts of how to improve the user experience.
- You have the uncanny ability to sell your often revolutionary ideas.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Razor (beneficial), wireframes, Adobe Creative Suite, Perl, Linux, MySQL, Online portfolio.
