In the context of the fast evolution of distributed (java/mobile) development technologies and tools, Our company is looking for a Web Application Security expert.
The Web Application Security expert will be part of the IT Engineering Secure Development Team.
Function Description
Improve company applications security by giving help and expertise to the development teams to apply security standards and processes
Main tasks:
° Supporting our analysts, developers and project leaders with advice on secure development guidelines.
° Organize and/or execute security assessments (Web Application Vulnerability Assessments & Code Reviews):
- Record/update procedures and objectives
- Support and follow-up of the organizational process
- Act as a first point of contact for external partners
- Evaluate and/or prepare reports
° Arranging internal security checks of applications (usually based on the source code).
o Configure the different scanning jobs
o Review the results and follow-up on the corrections
o Updating the development guidelines
Minor tasks:
° Managing and reporting on security issues
° Advising IT developers in for solutions to security risks and incidents.
° Providing input for new security measures (such as detection mechanisms).

Level of education required
Master or equivalent by experience
Languages Requirement
English Very good knowledge of English. You can express yourself fluently in either French or Dutch and have at least a passive knowledge of the second language.
Experience
° Minimum 3 years of experience in the development of web applications.
Technical Experience
° You are up-to-date on the latest developments in web development
° You've got a working knowledge of the main programming languages: Microsoft and/or Java related technologies
° You see web application security as your field.
° You are already knowledgeable with respect to network security.
Business Experience
Preferable
Experience in large IT organization
Soft skills
° Good Communication and Influencing skills
° Good analytical and synthesis skills
° Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
° Be able to work in a team, and with different groups in the organization, provide information and part of the solution, communication skills.
