Web Application Developer

Our hugely popular client is seeking a talented, motivated Developer to join a small team of UX Engineers leading the charge in modern web development and design. This individual will collaborate closely with products and UX team to create the next generation of web products.

Reporting to a Technical Lead, the candidate will collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and vendors to design, build, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain branded and related websites for both desktops and mobile devices.

The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary Developer with a passion for building unique, creative experiences across the web and mobile devices and has a keen eye for visual design and user interaction. This candidate will be expected to deliver quickly and iteratively in an agile environment while building, breaking, and creating world class web products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collaborate with Products and UX teams to solve technical issues and build amazing guest experiences
- Intelligently interpret specifications, UX wires and design mocks into functional layouts and interfaces
- Build and maintain extensible cross-browser and cross-device Front End code
- Push the boundaries of traditional web design by building high-performance, responsibly responsive, world class products
- Research and experiment with the latest and greatest technologies to identify, test, and apply them to current and future projects
- Rely on solid experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- May occasionally lead and direct the work of others

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 years of experience in the fields of web development
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Multidisciplinary experience and a passion for modern web development for high traffic web sites
- Advanced experience with modern web programming languages, methodologies, and standards: HTTP, SSL, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, PHP, JSON, XML, AJAX, SOAP, CI, ActionScript3, SQL, etc.
- Advanced experience with modern web frameworks and libraries: jQuery, Dojo, etc.
- Advanced experience with current tools and techniques for building rich client-side applications and user experiences: CSS3 animation, DOM manipulation, , , , responsive design, etc.
- Experience integrating websites with Content Management Systems and interfacing with third party APIs is required as well as the use of common Internet tools and technologies
- Familiarity with software version control, preferably Perforce, Git, and GitHub
- Familiarity with software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, iterative and incremental development
- Well-versed in design process and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
