Web and Software Analyst/Developer

The Web and Software Development Services Team is seeking an engaging and dynamic Web and Software Developer. The team are the College's in house development resource, responsible for creating bespoke applications to meet specific business needs and also developing interfaces between the College's corporate applications. You will need to capture customer requirements and use project management methodology and your technical skills to provide effective and efficient delivery of software solutions to customers.

You will be part of a team of five developers reporting to the Web and Software Development Manager. You will be working on applications that interface with the College's corporate applications such as the SITS student records system, Agresso finance system, ResourceLink human resources system, Scientia Enterprise timetabling and room booking system and other enterprise applications.

You will need to have hands-on experience of Java and writing SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases. Knowledge of one or more of: Eclipse, Struts2, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, PHP, Pentaho is also desirable. The successful applicant should be educated to degree level or equivalent or have equivalent experience built up by working in progressively more challenging IT roles.

The post is full time and permanent Starting salary will be in the range £35319 - £41553 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
