WEB Administrator/Consultant, Windows, Spain, 6 Month Contract

WEB ADMINISTRATOR/CONSULTANT, WINDOWS, SPAIN, 6 MONTH CONTRACT

One of our prestigious clients is currently looking to add an experienced Web Administrator (Windows) consultant to one of their office's based in Valencia, Spain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Day-to-day operational support and maintenance of Web infrastructures and applications hosted at user service requests and service restorations.
- Follow-up on problem management cases including problem detection, logging, categorization, investigation, diagnosis and complete resolution plans.
- Assistance in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new Web infrastructures and applications releases in accordance with established change management processes and configuration management standards.
- Coordination of maintenances and outages with infrastructure and business groups.
- Migrations of Web applications and consolidation of Web infrastructures.
- Feasibility assessment, implementation, deployment and support of Web applications in Microsoft Public Cloud Azure.
- Deployment of tools and implementation of processes to assist in operational support and to align with industry standards and customer needs.
- Documentation of operating processes, procedures and installations including technical diagrams and infrastructure setup.
- Identification of key areas for automation and optimization, including improvements in system performance, processes, and deployments.
- Installation and configuration of Web Traffic Analysis tools and management of Web statistics profiles.
- Administration and support of Enterprise Search Appliances.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and ASP.NET
- Public Cloud concepts and integration of Web applications into Microsoft Cloud.
- Web authentication mechanisms and security: authentication protocols, certificates, SSL/TLS encryption, SNI extensions, URL authorization,Request Filtering.
- Application layer Internet protocols: DNS, HTTP, FTP, SSL/TLS, LDAP, SMTP, SSH. etc., including the ability to analyse network issues.
- Web applications request routing, load-balancing and Proxy technologies and configurations.
- Web compression and caching engines, performance tuning features (application initialization, multicore scaling, CPU throttling).
- Web publishing extensions and synchronization protocols: (FTP, WebDAV, URL Rewrite, Web Deployment Tool, RepliWeb).
- Content Management Systems (Ektron, Sitecore, Stellent, EpiServer, Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server).
- DNS services and domain registration.
- Windows PowerShell Scripting.
- Microsoft Active Directory services and integration, Kerberos authentication and SSO.
- Web applications logging and diagnostics tools.
- Service Management tools (ticketing systems).
- Service Management methodologies (ITIL).
- Project Management methodologies (PRINCE2).
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2014.
- Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM).
