Walker Financial SME

Walker SME required by Whitehall Resources for a one month initial contract based in Greater London

Current requirement is for a Subject Matter Expert based in London, UK to support and maintain the WALKER service which comprises of a group of five applications (Walker GL, Walker POPL, Walker eJV, WalkerWeb, WalkerCM). WALKER service supports the below functions.

. Financial accounting (General ledger)
. Invoice processing and Supplier payments (Purchase ledger)
. Purchasing and Order placement (PO)

Key Responsibilities :-
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support WALKER service
- Ability to effectively articulate technical problems, solutions to Client
- Manage Client stakeholders effectively through effective status updates and by building strong working relationship
- Work with offshore team(s) effectively and deliver the service within service levels
- Lead Process and Capability building Initiatives

Skills and Experience
- Experience required in WALKER bespoke tools
- Expertise required in CICS, Cobol, DB2, MVS JCL
- Proficient in the usage of XCOM, FTP and Control-M
- Strong Communication skill
- Proactive approach to things and ability to generate and drive initiatives such as Innovation, Process and Capability improvement agenda
- Knowledge of General Ledger, Purchasing accounts, Payable and Receivable is desired
- Exposure to Managed Services operations is desired
- Knowledge of IMS DB, HTML and VBA scripts is desired
