VSPHERE ARCHITECT is urgently required for one of my client in for a long term position in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

To design build and Operations experience of the following

DESCRIPTION

- Design vSphere environment for a SDDC
- Experience in Migration planning and execution from a traditional DC to SDDC
- Hardware and RAID Support.
- Experience in handling Migration tools
- Design & Configure HP/DELL/IBM/UCS server by using iLO/DRAC/RAS etc.
- Maintain datacentre environmental and monitoring equipment.
- Day to day operation on Server/Storage/OS/etc., issues/management, change management.
- Handling production platform issues, supporting project team for installation and commissioning of new hardware, upgrade

SKILLS

- Experience in Install, configure and upgrade ESX/ESXi 3.x/4.x/5.x/6.x hosts
- In depth knowledge on VMware High-Availability, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, vCenter, DVS and vCenter Update Manager.
- Performance monitoring and reporting for the compute, storage and network resources.
- Performing P2V and V2V
- vCenter appliance design, Implementation experience
- Experience in scripted automation and management tools like vMA, vCLI and vSphere PCLI
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis for the escalated issues
- Design & Implementation of new Virtual Infrastructure and consolidation of P2V Migration
- Knowledge in vCenter convertor and Plate spin tools
- High Availability & DR testing and creating the DR design/process documents
- Experience in vCenter SRM is preferable
- Experience in OEM hardware (IBM/HP) & remote connectivity tools like ILO/DRAC/RSA
- Experience in Capacity planning, Resource Utilization and Bottleneck reporting. ie Capacity Planner/vCOPS.
- Create backup, restore and security Policies. Setup Monitoring and Operations process and tools for the DC and DR setup
- Defining user roles and permission in vCenter, based on the level of access require
- Planning Backup/Restore strategy for 24x7 operation support
- Testing/Auditing/processes as required from time to time
- Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
