VP - Senior Equities Compliance Officer

A leading provider of financial services worldwide has a new compliance vacancy within it's corporate and investment banking division in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Compliance professional that specialises in equity market activities and enjoys working with the business at all levels.

The role is at VP- level and your responsibilities will include:
* Provide real-time advice and support on regulatory matters to the Corporate and Investment banking businesses
* Advise and guide the Equities businesses including cash equities, equity derivatives, prime brokerage and prop trading
* Manage relationships with the businesses at all levels, including Regional Heads
* Liaise with the Legal teams covering these businesses to identify and manage these regulatory risks associated.

Skills/Experience needed:
* 5+years trading floor compliance experience within equity markets
* Detailed working knowledge of the FSA COB rules, UK Market Abuse Code and recentUKand EU regulatory developments
* Experience providing regulatory interpretations and decisions to the business in high profile and/or time constrained situations
* Self-confident with excellent client handling skills
