Voyager Schedule and Risk Manager/Project Manager

Background
Our Central Government Client is currently recruiting for a Schedule and Risk Manager/Project Manager for a 3 month contract in Bristol (very likely to be extended). It is highly desirable that you have SC clearance however if you don't you will be required to go through this level of clearance.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include.
Implement and update project management methodologies and tools appropriate to the programme.
Co-ordinating the forecasting, preparation and submission of all business cases across the PT.
Provision of Schedule, including TRA, and risk information as required for the Major Projects Report Project Summary sheets and supporting evidence.
Timely and accurate reports for the Team Leader and the Senior Management Board.
Whole Project Risk Manager/Co-ordinator facilitating the identification of project risks and ensuring that all identified risks are captured, analysed and managed using the Voyager Risk Register.
Ensuring all programme management activity is carried out in accordance with DE&S procedures.
Monthly updating of risk and schedule slides in the monthly Business Review pack.
Focus for the Voyager Environmental Management Plan.
Managing the delivery to time and budget of all STAAR Lines of Development by ensuring that all assigned projects are properly planned, organised, directed and monitored to meet customer requirements, budgeted cost and agreed time-scales within practical constraints.
Maintaining the Through Life Management Plan (TLMP).
Maintenance of the whole project Master Data Assumptions List (MDAL).

Skills/Experience Required
Essential.
Good understanding and experience of Defence project management.
Ability to co-ordinate with other functions.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Appreciation of aerospace engineering and associated technologies.
Microsoft Project and Predict! Risk management experience.

Desirable.
Experience of the aeronautical engineering.
MSP practitioner.

Qualifications
Essential:
MS Project and ARM knowledge

Desirable:
Prince 2 Practitioner and/or APMP
