VOLCKER BUSINESS ANALYST - REGULATORY CHANGE

Our client a top tier investment bank, on a global basis, will be subject to the restrictions of the Volcker Rule once the final regulations take effect. Although the Volcker Rule is only a proposed rule at this time,the bank is required to make a good faith effort to be in a position to comply fully with the final requirements of the Volcker Rule as early as July .

The Volcker Programme will prepare the Global Banking and Markets business for the full impact of the Volcker rule. This will require definition and implementation of new compliance activity, structural and functional business model changes at trading book and entity level and new reporting requirements in order to demonstrate global conformance.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

- Analysis of Global Banking & Markets business trading activity
- Articulation of Final Volcker rule interpretation
- Definition and support for Compliance framework
- Programme Collaboration

The required skills are below:

- Knowledge of DFA/Volcker
- Strong knowledge and experience in the Global Markets space
- Detailed and methodical approach to work
- Understanding of the components of trading activity (from client order/booking/Back Office etc) an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, not afraid to question or challenge information
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong excel, Powerpoint skills
