VMWARE/VSPHERE/SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/NATO/ITIL/VDI/ESX/LONG TERM/IMMEDIATE START

vSphere Principal Systems Administrator shall assist with administration, implementation, and configuration for the following solution to include but are not limited to VMWare, Storage, Active Directory, Exchange, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Capacity Optimization. Candidates for the position require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and must be knowledgeable about implementing VDI infrastructure practices to optimize, transform, and ensure the customer's compliant, efficient, and effective use of the resources. The VDI Administrator will administer and deliver end-to-end automated solutions that include the technical implementation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, workflow customization, virtual infrastructure, storage infrastructure, resource optimization, and system configuration

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

. Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and external teams to gather critical project information.
. Demonstrated experience in administering Windows 2012/2016 Server and Active Directory.
. Deal with Hardware vendors like Dell/EMC
. Responsible for Root cause analysis
. Responsible for Resolving Escalated issue.
. Will have to report the daily issues handled/escalated in the form of Daily reports.
. Knowledge on ESX Servers from command line
. Monitoring and Performance analysis on ESX Servers and VMs
. Patching of ESX severs and VMs with VMware Update manager
. Allocation of storage spaces to VMs through SAN
. Ability to work with VSPHERE/VMware Consolidated Backup/Virtual machine backups
. Hands on experience on VM Ware View and VM Ware Thin Apps
. Develop server/system migration strategies and processes for virtualized and non-virtualized environments.
. Interacts with the customer and other project team members

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

Qualifications

* 8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis with an emphasis on infrastructure administration and support.
. VMware Certified Professional VCP5-DCV (Data Center Virtualization) or higher
. Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) Windows Server 2008 or higher
Technical Skills:
. Demonstrated experience with VMware vSphere products and technologies.
. Demonstrated experience with VMware vRealize Automation and Operations products and technologies.
. Demonstrated experience with VMware NSX products and technologies.
. Demonstrated experience creating and implementing workflows and blueprints for use with a VMware vRA solution (vRA, Orchestrator)
. Demonstrated understanding of server virtualization concepts.
. Prior experience deploying blade and rack mounted server product sets.
. Demonstrated understanding of block and file-based storage system concepts.
. Prior experience with storage-area-network based replication products and technologies.
. Prior experience deploying backup and recovery products.
. Demonstrated understanding of layer 2/3 networking technologies and concepts.
. Demonstrated understanding of storage-area-network products and technologies.
. Demonstrated understanding of backup, recovery, and replication technologies for virtualized environments.
. Prior experience creating documentation for server virtualization environments.
. Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.
. Demonstrated ability to define and refine server virtualization requirements for customer environments.
. Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and external teams to gather critical project information.
. Knowledge and experience with Scripting and programming (PowerShell, Python, PERL, JavaScript, etc.) are highly preferred.
