Vmware Systems Administrator

Be involved in the pursuit of new outsourcing arrangements and business opportunities. Deliver a broad range of application management and managed operations services to various customers in Australia and New Zealand.

This organisation supports many VMWare systems that are spread across several accounts on different platforms.

On a rostered basis, after hours support will be required.

DUTIES

- Provide BAU support for multi VMware systems and other accounts if required.
- Work with problem & change tools (including but not limited to Maximo, ManageNow, CPMA & Infoman) to maintain client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Security compliance under the relevant security policies.
- Familiarity with virtual server concepts such as VMware and Xen.
- Must be able to work with multiple accounts at the one time.
- Must be a self starter who can work with minimum supervision

SKILLS

- Comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration, hardware configuration, system installation and configuration.
- VMware certification/accreditation an advantage, VTSP or VCP (preferred).
- Demonstrated support of VMWare in a development & production environment.
- Knowledge of open source products.
- Knowledge of VMWare SRM (Site Recovery Manager) in a production environment highly desirable.
- Knowledge of VMWare DRS, VMotion, Lab Manager, VCloud Director
