Vmware Storage Migration Specialist

On behalf of our client, an interesting international company, we are currently looking for a VMware Storage Migration Specialist for a 3 months contract (with possibility of extension) position in Zurich. The main responsibilities for this job are:

- Lead a project to migrate 00s Servers from existing virtual environment to new VBlock infrastructure
- Liaise with multiple parties - Customer contacts, existing operations teams
- Project monitoring & tracking, status reporting
- Risk management, highlight risks early, propose mitigation plans
- Lead the execution team based out of India
- Issue resolution

In order to be considered for this position, you should have the following skills:

- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (preferably VMware)
- Good Knowledge of VMware vSphere 5.x, EMC storage technologies, Cisco UCS compute platforms, and/or Cisco networking
- Knowledge of Datacenter technologies like Networking, Firewalls, Storage.
- Provisioning new VMs
- Experience in capacity planning for the OS Parameters like CPU, Memory & Disk on VMs
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good team player with the ability to lead a team remotely
