Vmware Administrator/Systems Analyst - German Speaking

VMWARE ADMINISTRATOR/SYSTEMS ANALYST (OPERATIONS SUPPORT) required to join Global Technology and Communications Company.

DURATION: 3 Years (80% on-site, 20% Remote)

TARGET START DATE: Monday 29th October/5th November 2018 (based on candidate availability)

LOCATION: Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany

MUST HAVE: VCP/VCIX, Fluent German Speaking/Reading/Writing skills

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Expertise with VMWare (Automation & Orchestration) vRealize vRA, vRO, vROPS, VMware NSX, VMware vSAN
- Expertise with Windows and Linux Operating systems
- Cloud, DevOps, SDDC, Network, Security experience is a big plus
- Incident Management
- Execution of 2nd Level cases (with HP Service Manager, Outlook-mail, phone)
- Resolution of incidents, restart of services, updating knowledge database etc.
- Creation and follow-up on 3rd Level Calls (based on existing VWFS maintenance contracts)
- Problem Management
- Reactive Problem Management:
- Execution of all Problem Tickets from Priority 1 + 2 incidents
- Root Cause Analysis and development of improvements to avoid future incidents and faster incident resolution
- Proactive Problem Management:
- Health Monitoring (SCOM, BAC and other Monitoring solutions)
- Performance Analysis Patch Detection
- Forward looking System maintenance and optimization
- Change and Release Management
- Analysis of requirements regarding implementation
- Installation of Server (physical and virtual - Microsoft cluster)
- Provide support for IT Service Continuity Tests
- Decommissioning of Physical and Virtual Servers
- Software/code upgrades, updates/patches, service packs (Off-hours between 6 PM to 7 AM CET)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Be flexible with work schedule for schedule change management activities and break-fix escalation support
