Vmware Administrator

VMware ESX specialist required!

Support and administrator VMware ESX server infrastructure including VMware Virtual Center and peripheral virtualization technologies in patching, backup, disaster recovery, and replication.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide design, configuration and planning support for the virtual infrastructure
Execute change management and provide support for scheduled, planned maintenance
Implementation and post-installation responsibilities include technical consulting to end-user community and other infrastructure team.
Providing virtualization technology solutions to existing problems.
Support virtual environment through issue troubleshooting and migration to future software versions.
Provide technical expertise for the planning and definition of new system requirements: perform feasibility and performance studies, including benchmark, capacity planning, sizing, etc.
Support and improve system environment and services (ie capacity planning and automation)
Write all related documentation (validation docs, systems proposals/recommendation, etc).
Participate in and leverage virtualization expertise to create a new company cloud management model utilizing new and existing automation tools
Participate in data center efficiency improvements using virtualization technologies (P2V and VM density improvement)
Participate in researching and testing next generation technologies such as HP Flex technology, and additional hypervisor
Assist in expanding virtualization to global model and external cloud solution.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
VMware Certified Advanced Professional 4 or 5 - Data Center Administration (VCAP5-DCA or VCAP4-DCA)
7 years of experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration in a global enterprise environment
5 years of experience of VMWare ESX management
2 years with hybrid cloud expertise ( AWS or other public cloud )
PowerShell Scripting with PowerCLI
Fluent in English
