Vmware (6.5) Engineer/South Netherlands/6 Months

THE COMPANY

ConSol Partners client is a Cisco Gold Partner who are seeking a VMWare Specialist to join the team on site in assisting with VMWare related issues and running general administration tasks.

JOB TITLE: VMWare Consultant

LOCATION: South Netherlands

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months (+extensions)

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the VMWare Consultant for ConSol Partners client, you will be involved in assist with current issues relating to VMWare version 6.5. The client is currently facing issues which need to be resolved.

These include:

- VDI Servers cannot communicate with the network. Client VDI session gets an UP address.
- It concerns new setup with Nexus 9K and Dell Servers with 10GB copper connections. Nexus is linked to existing DC Switches.
- It is not possible to ping the machine from the network.

Technologies used by the client include:

- VMWare 6.5
- Cisco Nexus
- Dell Servers

Windows does not play a role.

REQUIREMENTS

- Fluent English and Dutch language.
- Experience with VMWare 6.5
- Previous experience with Cisco Nexus product range (9K).
- VMWare certifications or previous experience to this level.
- Experience working with Dell Servers.
