VMC Machinist Job

VMC MACHINIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HODGES, SC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Able to lift and control materials up to 35lbs.
- Machining experience
- Experience in performing preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of equipment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs required operations on VMC machines, including loading and unloading of parts.
- Conducts parts inspections including calibrations and caliper and logs specifications on Routers.
- Cleans and performs preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of assigned equipment.
- Prepares various logs and records to document machine operation and daily production; enters required data into computer.
- Moves/transports parts to appropriate location as needed.
- Maintains safe, clean and orderly work areas.
- Receives, reviews, and/or refers to various records and reports including Router forms, shift reports, Material Safety Data Sheets, GSP book, maintenance records, etc.
- Prepares labor sheets and non-conformance forms.
- Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals including the immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other plant personnel.
- Operates VMC machine, micrometers, gauges, end mill, tool end mill, pall jack, hand tools, etc.
- Uses various clerical and industrial supplies, hand tools, etc.
- Assists employees in other areas as assigned.
- Performs related duties as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Able to lift and control materials up to 35lbs.
- Machining experience
- Experience in performing preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of equipment
