Visual Files Developer - Solcase/Visual Files/SOS, Law Firm

VISUAL FILES DEVELOPER - SOLCASE/VISUAL FILES/SOS, LAW FIRM, PART TIME OR FULL TIME CONTRACT

3 - 6 month contract to cover the day to day Case Management needs of a medium sized law firm on the South Coast whilst they source a permanent solution. This role could be part time or full time.

Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain workflows and templates with the aim of optimising business efficiency and working practices in line with the changing needs of the business.
- Administration and implementation of permissions and access rights to Solcase/Visual Files/SOS.
- Lead and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, defining and adhering to agreed standards and methodologies.
- Lead business analysis and business process re-engineering projects ensuring that business teams are actively engaged throughout to identify process, system and efficiency improvements.
- Deliver proactive continuous improvements by leveraging existing/new functionality, increasing efficiencies, implementing automation and integration.
- Manage the integration of VisualFiles with other firm wide packages including the practice management system.
- Support the end users in the use of the applications
- Design and develop appropriate levels of IT and end user documentation
- Write reports as required using appropriate tools such as Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports and SQL Query Analyser.
- To assist the web developer in any online systems they are developing linked to Solcase/Visual Files/SOS.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members
- Work with IT training to tailor technical training to business processes

Skills:

- 3 plus years Visual Files development experience
- Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services and T-SQL
- Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports and SQL Query Analyser.
- Microsoft Office applications
- An understanding of C# and software development practices
- Systems integration
- Knowledge of legal case management tools
- Business Analysis skills for requirements gathering, creation of statements of work and user acceptance testing
- Project management
- Excellent technical, business and interpersonal skills at all levels across the business with keen attention to detail and plain English documentation, reports and communications.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
