MUST HAVE SKILLS: Candidates must have relevant BS/BA degree and knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design. Must have strong emphasis on visual design. Must have strong portfolio for manager to review. Candidates must be able to work closely with developers and partner with them well. Experience in finance and banking a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The UI/UX team is looking for a Visual/Creative Designer to help revolutionize the way people pay for goods online. The candidate will be responsible for designing rich and intuitive user experience/user interfaces for web and mobile products. This will include web and mobile applications, widgets libraries, and tool interface for the existing platform, payments and mobile environments. The designs should satisfy simplicity, ease-of-use and a rich user experience.

The candidate must be a strategic, independent, self-motivated creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment. This is an active, hands-on role that will require a Designer who can solve complex visual and interaction design challenges. The candidate must also have an extremely developed sense of design and impeccable attention to detail.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY RESULTS AREAS:

- Work closely and collaborate with the UX team, Product, Development, QA and Developers to create and build the ideal customer experience
- Take ideas and concepts, and translate them into world class designs that effectively meet the needs of internal leaders, partners and most of all the customers
- Take ownership and lead visual design development throughout the entire life cycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables
- Push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of solving a problem
- Develop visual design prototypes ranging from comps to interactive mock-ups
- Communicate and present design strategy/rationale effectively to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, fellow visual designers, researchers, product managers) to create compelling visual designs of interactive experiences
- Develop the visual interface language as well as the specifications
- Work closely with web developers and engineers to deliver the final product
- Leverage deep understanding of platform and device requirements such as form factors, screen resolutions, pixel density and aspect ratios
- Spark fresh ideas that are infused in enterprise culture and products

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 8+ years in related professional work experience
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating the successful delivery of innovative digital interface design solutions for web and mobile
- Experience in consumer payment, E-commerce preferred
- Strong working knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand identity management, digital marketing and the creative process
- Demonstrated knowledge in computer and mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
- Excellent visual design skills; attention to detail and a demonstrated mastery of typography, color and page layout
- Experience and understanding of product management and the agile development process
- Expert-level proficiency with design tools in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to stand by your designs and provide solid rationale to back up your decision
- In-depth familiarity with the latest capabilities in HTML, CSS and JavaScript; understanding how comps translate to code, and the ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent
- Relevant BS/BA degree
