Visual Basic Developer Job

VISUAL BASIC DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Expert ability to develop, test, and deploy VBA scripts in Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Expert ability to build data connections and queries between Microsoft Access, Excel, and external systems/databases.
- Visual Basic Developer with the ability to document solution.
- Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior leaders up to and including the SVP level.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Visual Basic Developer to develop, test, and implement VBA scripts and associated data connections that will automate the transmission of certain transactions between our client and some of its external partners.
- Build data connections and automated queries between Access, Excel, and our client's systems.
- Visual Basic Developer will build automated VBA scripts to create transaction and populated form transmissions between our client's and external partners. Each partner will have its own independent solution, although solutions will be highly similar across partners.
- Develop appropriate levels of documentation for the completed solutions.
- Visual Basic Developer will provide regular updates to project stakeholders.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three (3) or more years of experience writing and documenting Visual Basic code linking Access, Excel, and external data sources.
- One (1) or more years of experience with reading and interpreting process and systems documentation.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Visual Basic Developer with Financial Services experience.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters BETA platform.
