Virtualization Implementations Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a VIRTUALIZATION IMPLEMENTATIONS ENGINEER to join our client in Irving, TX.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Implementation Engineer is responsible for implementing Terremark managed Windows and VMware cloud solutions. This includes consultation with customers and potential customers, configuration of Windows, VMware ESX, ESXi, Linux Operating systems, execution of changes, configuration of management tools, and installation of 3rd party products required to meet the customer's contract.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to document requirements and create a work order package for deployment.
- Ability to execute builds following a design Visio and build manifest.
- Responsible for the build of ESX clusters and storage presentation.
- Base configuration using the Build Configure Verify process for hosts related to the project.
- Installation and configuration of Terremark supported software tools.
- Finalizing logical diagram and publishing to SharePoint

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- FIVE PLUS (5+) YEARS OF ADVANCE WINDOWS ADMINISTRATION
- ACTIVE DIRECTORY, IIS, WINDOWS CLUSTERING
- ONE PLUS (1 +) YEARS OF VMWARE EXPERIENCE.
- ONE PLUS (1 +) YEARS OF LINUX EXPERIENCE.
- Minimum of five plus (5+) years of IT industry experience.
- Minimum of two plus (2+) years of Systems Administrations experience.
- One plus (1 +) years of Cisco UCS experience.
- Five (5) years of Windows experience.
- Two plus (2+) years' experience with VMware ESXi, or ESX and vCenter 4.x. This experience should include the planning, deployment, configuration and administration of host systems and virtual machines.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Academic: BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the technology sector.
- Two plus (2+) years' experience as a systems administrator or server engineer in a large single site or multiple site Enterprise IT or managed services organization. Previous hosting experience is a plus.
- Strong Scripting experience is a plus.
- Two plus (2+) years working directly with the design, planning, implementation and administration of Microsoft Windows 2008/R2 server systems, both virtual and physical.
- Linux Shell Scripting, VMware CLI or POSH Scripting and or Microsoft POSH Scripting experience is strongly desired.
- Two plus (2+) years' experience working with enterprise server platforms (HP, Cisco, SUN, Dell, IBM).
- Hands on experience, training or certification focused on Cisco Networking such as a CCNA is a plus.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is preferred.
- Microsoft MCITP, MCITP Enterprise or MCSE preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Strong technical experience with industry standard x86_X64 server hardware, including disk storage subsystems, RAID, SAN and networking hardware is strongly desired.
- Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
