On behalf of our client, one of the most recognizable banking brands worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a dynamic and experienced VMWare expert for a new six month contract starting ASAP.
VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER, VMWARE, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)
In the position as Virtualization Engineer, you will make the most of your broad VMWare expertise to work within a global team of professionals. Your tasks will include the following:
- Provide Lights On and essential maintenance activities for the virtual platform.
- Serve as a primary Virtualisation Engineer and to provide technical supervision and guidance to onsite team of engineers
- Assess how business requirements can be met using virtualisation technologies.
- Evaluate and test new versions of virtualisation software and associated management tools.
- Integrate virtualisation products with other software and services to provide end to end customer services.
- Serve as a mentor, trainer, and technical lead in areas of expertise
For this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Expertise in VMWare VMware vSphere technologies and server automation concepts
- Experience designing and operating enterprise level virtualisation solutions for a global organization
- Proficiency in Scripting and/or automating repeatable processes, specifically using Linux Shell
- Fluency in English
