FOR OUR CLIENT IN AMSTERDAM WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A VIP SUPPORTER.

START: ASAP

DURATION: at least 1 year + extension

LANGUAGE: English and Dutch must be fluent; Swedish and German would be a plus

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Provide onsite "VIP" End-User IT support for a global multinational with Headquarters in Amsterdam.

The number of users in this headquarter will grow in the near future to 100 Users (around 40 Users today), Users are actually located on two floors whilst an extension to a third floor is planned shortly. The majority of staff working at the headquarter are global Managers with global Functions. Whilst those Managers are heavy travellers they do also hold a lot of onsite conferences and receive a lot of visitors, both internally and externally.

The local IT supporter should be a kind of "IT all-rounder" who takes care and supports all IT related requests and incidents at the location in close cooperation with the global IT organization and alignment to their IT processes.

TASKS:

- Laptop/Desktop End User Support (Incident, Request and Problem Management) incl. installation and configuration of new computers
- iphone and iPad End User Support (Incident, Request and Problem Management) incl. installation and configuration of new devices incl. email sync
- Support WLAN/LAN connectivity and coordinate issues related to WLAN/LAN in close cooperation with their Network/Verizon (managed Service with defined SLA)
- Support Video conference systems and solve or coordinate issues related to video conference systems in close cooperation with global IT
- Provide guidance to all users about appropriate use of IT resources, IT processes and common IT applications eg. email, Intranet, Video conferences, VPN solution, IT Order system, etc.

SOFT SKILLS:

- Proven record in providing "VIP ' onsite IT support to Executives and Level 1 Managers
- Strong stakeholder management skills and sound time management and prioritization practices are essential requirements of this role
- Ability to explain technical issues in a clear, concise and effective manner, whilst instilling confidence and ability to take ownership of an issue and see it through to successful completion
- Experienced problem solver, who will adapt to new and changing technologies and demonstrate a high level of incident ownership, as well as the commitment to go the 'extra mile' to deliver exceptional service
- Reliable and trustworthy person

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Strong competence within IT area, deeper and/or unique competence within one or more specialized IT areas
- Eight years or more experience, including experience in several projects within area
- Able to serve as a role model
- Able to lead a part of a project/area and manage smaller working groups
- Able to work independently, suggest solutions, work proactively

Key skills: Analytical, ability to make decisions, offer suggestions and recommendations as well as develop plans

OTHER REQUIREMENT:

- Travel to office should be less than 20 minutes
- Willing to adapt working hours to actual requirements and workload
- Knowledge and experience about Lotus Notes eMail, GoTo Meeting, CISCO Movi, CISCO VPN would be a plus
- Must be available for the Job training at the office in Düsseldorf in the first two weeks.
