Vignette Developer

My client, a household name in the Financial Services space, is looking to recruit a Vignette Developer to uplift the configuration management technical team's skills.

The role will see you:

- work with the application architect on understanding and reviewing of high level solution design,
- translate the high level solution into the detailed technical design,
- build/unit test complex technical solutions,
- develop processes for the installation, configuration and verification of the Vignette Application Suite/tools, including patches, upgrades and deployment of customisations.

You will bring to the role:

- Demonstrable capability in installing, configuring and developing customisations for Vignette Portal (v7.3 or higher), Vignette Content Manager (v7.5 or higher) and Collaboration (v 7.1.0 or higher)
- Demonstrable capability in using IBM WAS(v6.1 or above), Java & J2EE technology
- Proven record of involvement into sizable projects related to delivery of changes on the Vignette Portal and/or Vignette Content Manager platforms

While it will be desirable if you have:

- Experience in IBM WebSphere Portal (v6.1 or above) development
- Experience in UNIX AIX/Shell Scripting/Linux
- Experience in financial services industry
- Experience with LDAP, XML, XSL, Web Services and Digital Certificates
- Experience with Continuous Integration environment and tools
- Experience with Google search appliances
- VMWare/ESX server admin/Config management
